Stryker Announces Election of New Director

KALAMAZOO, Mich., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Stryker Corporation (NYSE: SYK) announced an increase in the size of its Board of Directors to nine and the election of Dr. Roch Doliveux as a director.

Dr. Doliveux has served since 2005 as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Committee of UCB S.A., a global biopharmaceutical company.

Dr. Doliveux has previously been a Chief Executive Officer of Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals and President, Schering-Plough International, a subsidiary of Schering-Plough Corporation.

Dr. Doliveux holds a master's degree in business from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He also holds a Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from Ecole Nationale Veterinaire d'Alfort, Maisons-Alfort, France.
